Athena Pro Arm V2 Refit Instructions

For Air Express & Early Shipping Customers

This article provides the official refit instructions for upgrading your Athena II Pro Arm to the V2 version.

If you were part of the Air Express shipment or an early production batch, your printer may have shipped with the original Pro Arm design. The Pro Arm V2 introduces several mechanical and assembly improvements, and we recommend completing this upgrade before continuing regular printing.

What this guide covers

  • Step-by-step instructions for removing the original Pro Arm

  • Installing the Pro Arm V2 components

  • Sensor alignment and cable routing notes

  • Final checks and required re-leveling steps

Before you begin

  • Please read through the full instructions before starting

  • Allow adequate time to complete the refit without rushing

  • Make sure the printer is powered off and unplugged before beginning

  • Re-leveling the build plate is required after installation

  • You must update your printer to the latest Athena OS beta build before using the Pro Arm V2

The Pro Arm V2 relies on updated firmware and software behavior included in the latest Athena OS beta. Using older builds may result in incorrect sensor behavior or calibration issues.
